About Diya Kanoria

I'm an Educator. What does that mean? It means, I don't just "teach" but also think about WHAT and HOW teaching should happen. I educate kids about agency, self leadership, being a changemaker, sustainability, learning with and from Nature, oh yeah...and also Science! In 2023, I founded Make The Change Education (MTC) through which I follow my passions. MTC works both in an out of the classroom - we have holiday camps and workshops for students who come directly to us. Our flagship programs are the Gaia Changemakers Program for teens and Sustainability Mindset with Design Thinking (SMDT) for primary age students. We also work with schools to develop regenerative curriculum and bespoke beyond the classroom projects. I have degrees in Pharmacology (Bsc), Biomedical Science (MPhil) and Teaching (MAT), from University College London, University of Cambridge and Duke University respectively. What am I an expert in? Nothing at all, but I do have some very strong thoughts about Education for sustainable development, regenerative education, 21st century skills, AI in education and Nature based learning, learning through inquiry. I have experience with IB curriculum Advanced Placement (AP) GCSE A Levels Lehrplan 21 (Swiss Public School Curriculum)
