Mariana Calvette Cesar

My name is Mariana, I've been a tattooer for 11 years now, focused on building my own style that is recognized by its solid lines, clean aesthetic, ornamental and tribal inspiration and historical references, what I like to call as "fantastic flora" or tropical ornamental inspired by the beautiful nature of my homeland: Brasil. Traveling has been one of the biggest pillars in my artistic development. In the past ten years I visited almost twenty countries, tattooing in at least 10, including a big variety of environments and tattoos shops: from the most rustic scenary to famous, fancy shops. I acquired most part of my knowledgemt in an empirical way, being a self-taugh professional. But I attribute most part of my skills to the many connections I've made along the way, trading information with other artists around the world. I learned with everyone. But I did college as well, in 2012 I graduated in Fashion Design and worked as a fashion designer for four years before leaving a corporative life to dedicate myself 100% to be an artist. I'm here to share a bit of what I learned and I hope I can help you on your way as well!
