I work with leaders who carry responsibility and who understand that leadership is ultimately an amanah (a trust to be upheld). Across four decades in corporate leadership, innovation strategy and executive coaching, I have observed: As responsibility expands and strategy evolves, alignment is not always sustained. In 2025, I underwent triple bypass surgery, then the subsequent slow and painful recovery, a trauma of months. It brought into sharper focus a conviction that had long been forming: Responsibility, strategy and conscience are meant to move together. Today, I walk with leaders as they attend to that alignment: in how they think, how they decide and how they carry what is entrusted to them. We may not immediately find ready answers, but we work to see, to discern what is present, then we move forward in a way that can be accounted for. The journey is paced, reflective and experiential over time.
